Interos Solutions Wins Contract at Customs and Border Protection

Corporation to Support Prime at Customs and Border Protection

McLean, VA (August 2006) – Interos Solutions, Inc., a woman-owned supply chain and logistics solutions company, has been selected by a prime contractor to support the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to optimize CBP’s asset management and leverage commercial supply chain technologies.

Under this contract, Interos Solutions will assess and re-engineer the physical layout and flow of CBP’s facilities and its in-house asset management technology systems. “Improved organization, accessibility, and visibility of materials combined with increased inventory and fulfillment accuracy will maximize the existing infrastructure and position CBP for future increased support activities,” said Jennifer Bisceglie, President of Interos Solutions. “This project will allow the CBP to increase the amount of materials that can be stored in the same footprint through effective space utilization.”

A representative from the Prime Contractor stated, “We know that President Bush has stated that an estimated 18,000 agents will be on the ground at this country’s borders by the end of 2008. All of these agents need to be given the commitment of 100 percent up time for all of their equipment, to include the newer technologies that are on the way.

We feel that by implementing industry best practices within our logistics support centers, and providing better technology in house, we will be in the best position to serve the agents in the field. We anticipate Interos’s experience in this industry will play a key role in taking our organizational capabilities to the next level.”
